Officers arrested a petrol thief in Breda on New Year’s Eve who was stranded at the petrol station shortly after his action. The man was found to have filled the tank of his diesel car with petrol. As a result, the car could not continue driving.
According to the police, the man had already attracted the attention of employees shortly before his action because he had entered the gas station site with disguised license plates. He had probably stolen fuel in the same way a week earlier at the same gas station as Graaf Hendrik III Laan.
The gas thief tried to flee as he ran. The gas station employees ran after him. One of them found the man in a nearby neighborhood. Then he was handed over to the agents. The man is stuck. He’s suspected of two fuel thefts and driving with registered plates.
