The new system of the Ministry of Health, PES, which Minister Blatný introduced on Friday, will classify each region into one of five color levels, from green to purple.
“The main goal of the new PES evaluation is to increase the readability and predictability of the current epidemiological situation. We want the public to have an idea of the situation in their region and whether to prepare for dismantling or tightening the measures. Only parameters that every citizen can evaluate and calculate from the available data, “describes the new evaluation system by the Minister of Health.
The reason for this step is the fact that the situation in the Czech Republic currently differs significantly from region to region. According to data from the Ministry of Health, the situation in the Vysočina region is currently the worst. The districts of Pelhřimov, Havlíčkův Brod, Žďár nad Sázavou, Jihlava and Třebíč have the most infected population per 100,000 in the entire country. The numbers there are around 700.
The opposite situation is now in Prague and its surroundings, where the numbers are slightly over 200 infected per 100,000 inhabitants. One of the premiums is also the Karlovy Vary region. In the districts of Cheb, Sokolov and Karlovy Vary, the numbers are around 300.
