Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists circulated on social media a video clip of the Saudi activist, Bader Al-Saadoun, and what he said about the view of the majority of people in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towards the Palestinian cause.
This came in an interview by Al-Saadoun with the Israeli journalist Roei Kayes for the Israeli channel Kan, where he said: “70% to 80% of the Saudi people are young, and I tell you with all credibility that Palestine is not their first concern, for these people their first concern is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia..”
He continued, saying: “We, the Saudis, are talking about reconstruction. We are not talking about demolishing and killing people. Unfortunately, the Palestinians have tarnished some reputation, but the educated generations consider that peace is a strategic decision that must be achieved…”
He added: “The so-called Palestinian issue, in fact, there was an exaggeration of it. Our cause, we Muslims, in fact, is the Al-Aqsa Mosque only. This issue has become like a pretext for the Persian, for the Turkish, for the terrorist, for every extremist.
