Prime Video released the first trailer for The peripheralthe series by Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, adapted from the novel by William Gibson, takes the opportunity to reveal that the series will be launched on October 21st.
Focused on a young woman trying to pick up the pieces of her broken family in a forgotten corner of the America of tomorrow, torn between two moments in time, the series features Chlo Grace Moretz as Flynne, finding a way to move 70 years into the future, where he witnesses the fall of London society. Flynne is smart, ambitious and apocalyptic. She has no future. Until the future comes looking for it. The Peripheral is the dazzling and mind-blowing tale of the master William Gibson about the destiny of humanity and what lies beyond.
The peripheral, produced by Amazon Studios and Warner Bros. Television, in association with Nolan’s Joy and Kilter Films, also stars Jack Reynor, Gary Carr, Eli Goree, Louis Herthum, JJ Feild, T’Nia Miller, Charlotte Riley, Alexandra Billings , Adelind Horan, Alex Hernandez, Katie Leung, Julian Moore-Cook, Melinda Page Hamilton, Chris Coy, Amber Rose Revah and Austin Rising. Scott B. Smith is the showrunner of the series and the executive producer along with Joy, Nolan, Greg Plageman, Athena Wickham, Steven Hoban and director Vincenzo Natali.
