At the start of the Düsseldorf week at “The Perfect Dinner”, Brazilian Cida is hoping for relaxed guests – otherwise there is just a little more alcohol in the caipirinha!

Düsseldorf – Finally new episodes of the Vox cooking show “The Perfect Dinner”! This week we’re going to the Rhineland, more precisely to Düsseldorf. The native Brazilian Maria Aparecida, known as Cida, has lived there for 29 years. When she’s not doing magic in the kitchen, she runs a beauty salon.

There, by the way, Cida also met her husband Peter, whom she “talked about” while caring for the nails that he didn’t get to read – if that’s not a romantic story to get to know each other. But back to “The Perfect Dinner”. Does Cida have what it takes? At least the starter has it all, according to husband Peter: “The starter is world class without showing off or exaggerating.”

The perfect dinner (Vox): Candidate Cida celebrated often and loudly before Corona

Cida welcomes the team from the Vox show “The Perfect Dinner”, which, according to ex-candidate Sumita, never gets in the way, in her townhouse in the Pempelfort district of Düsseldorf. The former clinic building is already over 100 years old and was completely redesigned by the first chairman of a Düsseldorf carnival club and her husband. “In a town house you have an incredible number of neighbors, of course, a lot of people, but I love this setting,” enthuses Vox candidate Cida.

“Before Corona we had a lot of guests, my husband loves that, I love that too. If you have a house like this and have no guests and don’t have a party, then you don’t need anything like that ”, is the opinion of the native Brazilian. And at Cida, a house definitely also has a kitchen in the garden. “In Brazil, almost everyone who has a house has a kitchen outside, and I thought why not?” But their “The Perfect Dinner” guests are cooked inside.

The perfect dinner (Vox): Can Cida convince seafood opponents Burkhard with their world-class shrimp?

To win at “The Perfect Dinner”, Cida now only has to convince the other candidates Christina, Burkhard, Madeleine and Florian. This should be achieved with a three-course menu under the motto “Tropical Evening”.

  • Starter: Sea tiger prawns with beefsteak tomatoes and coriander
  • Main course: Beef fillet with chocolate and red wine jus, with parsnip puree and seasonal vegetables
  • Dessert: Brazilian kiss – coconut mousse in a chocolate coating with passion fruit

It’s just stupid that Vox candidate Burkhard doesn’t like seafood: “I try almost everything, I have a bit of problems with seafood, that’s not my world,” he admits. Perhaps one or the other drink will make the guests at Cida’s “The Perfect Dinner” premiere more willing to experiment. “When I see they’re boring, then I’ll do a little more alcohol, then they’ll dance on the tables,” the Brazilian announces.

The perfect dinner (Vox): The search for the perfect cooking point

Burkhard, the prawns are still too dry. There is also criticism for the main course, Florian only eats the outside of his fillet of beef, as it is a bit too medium rare for him. “I gnawed off the edge, the inside was way too raw for me, the core was ice cold.” Cida’s dessert “Brazilian Kiss”, on the other hand, was well received by all “The Perfect Dinner” participants, even if the dessert was simply Madeleine is powerful.

In the end, Cida can look forward to 31 points despite all the complaints. Burkhard takes seven points, the other candidates receive eight points each. Incidentally, the opening hostess Mylene achieved the same result last week at “The Perfect Dinner” from East Westphalia. For them, however, it was only enough to finish fifth – let’s see whether Christina, Burkhard, Madeleine and Florian Cida will outdo Cida in the coming days, to be seen daily at 7:00 p.m. at Vox. * 24hamburg.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
