the young actor Walker Scobell, which debuted in “The Adam Project” as the young version of Ryan Reynolds, will be in charge of starring in the series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” and Disney Plus.
The news was released by the Rick Riordanthe author of the fantasy book series on his blog, where he wrote:
“Walker Scobell is an incredibly talented young man who blew us away with his audition tapes for the role of Percy. We were lucky enough to audition Walker months before that movie came out. [«The Adam Project»]but the film only confirmed what we already knew about his talent.”
Riordan will be a producer of the series, he also wrote the pilot episode with Jon Steinberg (The Old Man), while James Bobin will be the director.
Filming is scheduled to begin in June this year.
