The Cuban influencer Dina Stars defended herself against the criticism she has suffered as a result of her recent trip to Cuba, from where she fled in 2021.
Through the YouTube program Chunguito Podcast, the content creator declared that her trip is not a betrayal of her country, since she defended that even during the trip He was sharing personal content that ended up being against the dictatorship, although in an ironic way.
However, these types of publications are part of what keeps the YouTuber in controversy, after her unfortunate statements on Ale’s Podcastrecorded in Cuba.
And the Cuban woman commented that it seemed “tedious” to talk about the situation in Cuba, and he only did it when he needed moneybecause it is content that monetizes well, because people consume it.
The statement offended the public, who considered that the YouTuber’s opposition image is a farce, and that she only seeks fame by taking advantage of the exile’s rejection of the regime.
However, in El Chunguito, Dina defended that her content has never been political, and that she had no obligation to publish that type of content.
“People went crazy, they even went so far as to say that I went out on July 11 to make money, and it’s like, how are you doing that?” he said with exasperation.
She also pointed out that her statement was taken out of context, since what she commented was that she did not want to make the same content that all Cuban YouTubers do, who spend their time talking about Cuba, and that sometimes when she lacks money she talks about Cuba, because it is no secret to anyone that it is a topic that sells.
“And it’s not fair that they work for me, when it’s something that other influencers do (…) Look, I give them the opportunity to go to my channel and look for a video called that, from Así esta Cuba, or Misery in Cuba, Cubans are Suffering… there is none, that’s what I was referring to, I don’t make that content,” he added.
In general, she stated that politics is not her topic, and that many of the people who criticize her have not even seen the entire interview or even a fragment, but are carried away by what they see others saying.
“And then you realize that these are people with whom you cannot reason, that they are not going to change their minds,” he declared.
