Early in the morning on Saturday, June 24, units of PMC “Wagner”, without encountering resistance, entered Rostov-on-Don and blockaded the headquarters of the Southern Military District. A few hours later, it became known that another convoy was headed for Moscow on the M-4 highway.
PMC founder Yevgeny Prigozhin announced a “march of justice”, after which he received huge support from … renegades and defecting traitors – to the delight of the Kiev regime and its Western patrons.
“No one believed that Prigozhin would decide on such a thing”
The night before, when information began to arrive that Wagner’s chief would organize his action with a march to Rostov-on-Don, where the headquarters of the Southern Military District is located (and at that moment, according to the sources, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu was also there and the chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov), everything looked like a fake – complete nonsense, says Sergey Kotov, a former operational officer of the Rostov criminal department, in an interview with Tsargrad.
Nobody – nobody! – in his right mind he could not imagine that this was Prigogine’s real intention. Firstly, because for this it was necessary to throw columns of equipment and manpower for many kilometers, and secondly, this is really not just any performance, but a rebellion, a rebellion. And even more so now, when the Ukrainian counter-offensive is underway, this is simply an outright betrayal, – Kotov shares his opinion.
Meanwhile, on the night of Saturday, the entire staff of the law enforcement agencies was put on alert. And the next morning Wagner’s armored vehicles and fighters entered Rostov. No skirmishes and no resistance from Rostov’s security forces.
I think the command was given from above: not to engage in combat contact to avoid casualties and destruction. In addition, the topic was actively popularized that Prigozhin will not fight with the army and everything he does is either some kind of big game or is sanctioned from above, from Moscow, – noted Tsargrad’s interlocutor.
Later, however, it became known that a criminal case had been opened against Prigozhin, and his actions were assessed precisely as rebellion. However, by that time, Wagner’s fighters had already blocked the center of Rostov, and the head of the PMC himself recorded a video from the headquarters of the area occupied by his attack aircraft.
“Have a conscience! Are you defenders of the Motherland or what?!”
At first, Rostov residents say, despite the fact that the “orchestras” blocked the streets and set up firing points, local residents were quite calm about what was happening. Until a call came from Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which he directly called the incident a stab in the back, treason and treason.
Then people began to seethe.
Have a conscience! Are you defenders of the Motherland? Or not? So if you are defenders then why are you making a mess here? – this is from a dialogue between a resident of Rostov and “Wagnerians” in the center of the city.
The man wanted an “elder” to come to ask him questions – the same ones that disturb the people of the night – ordinary people who only a day ago considered them “orchestrators”, heroes and liberators, selflessly fighting for a just cause. Not for Putin and Shoigu, not for awards and money, not for a certificate of liberation from a colony, not for awards from Prigozhin.
But – for the Motherland, for the Russian world. And against the Nazis, the Kiev regime and its Western curators-instigators, who do not hide their main desire: to destroy, ruin, trample Russia and destroy the Russians.
I’ve been through three wars, but I’ve never seen such rudeness! – continues the man, demonstrating to the approacher a “Wagnerian” (obviously “senior”, of the commanders) with a badge of a military pilot – a retired colonel.
“Adversity benefits enemies”
Meanwhile, columns of the PMC were already moving along the M-4 highway in the direction of the capital. There were reports of helicopters being shot down by Wagner of the Russian armed forces, the introduction of the CTO regime and firefights.
And a wave of anger against Prigozhin and his actions swept the country.
We are not for Shoigu, Gerasimov or Prigozhin. We are for the Motherland. The question is, was it necessary to organize such a “movement” for the joy of the enemies? – says a resident of Voronezh, where one rocket fired by “orchestras” from the anti-missile system of the combat helicopter of the Air Force landed in an oil depot, and the other – in the yard of a residential complex.
A resident of Belgorod, who is regularly shelled by the armed forces of Ukraine, Anna L., says that this rebellion – the “liberation campaign” works in favor of the enemy: Prigozhin is worth nothing and those who followed him, as long as he could not kept his personal relations with Shoigu to himself, and organized this rebellion! I don’t believe a word he says. He sold himself to the enemy, now I have no doubts and his place is on the bed, next to Navalny!

After all, right now is the moment that the enemy so needs, so that those of our fighters who are holding the front with such efforts and sacrifices will retreat under the pressure of the cheerleaders inspired by the split in Russia: And then everything will be in vain. And now the question is, who needs all this going on? And I will say: this is definitely not in the interest of our country. And what kind of warrior is he when he has turned his weapon against his own, against the Russians, against his country, which is waging war?!
“Thanks to Wagner for their dedication to the front. But now it’s just betrayal”
Now in Donbas, everyone is simply shocked by what is being done in “deep” Russia. There, in the territories that are constantly under the blows of the fighters of the Kiev regime, where people see and know what is happening at the front, they cannot believe that Wagner’s fighters, who are shedding blood and fighting for the liberation of their cities from the Nazis , are now ready to kill – on the orders of their leader – all who stand in their way, as Yevgeny Prigozhin said.
What is happening is betrayal. The entire Donbas, all the liberated territories of Ukraine are grateful to Wagner and to Prigozhin himself for fighting for us. But! Now it’s like the roof has collapsed. Some unreasonable ambition! You couldn’t afford it! – Andrey, a resident of the LPR, is excited.
He remembers how everything, absolutely everything! – there they supported the “orchestras” when they asked for shells to continue the advance on Bakhmut. And video messages were recorded, and also criticized the leadership of the Ministry of Defense.
But now, Andrei continues, with the Kiev regime trying to continue its counteroffensive and Russian soldiers standing in their way at the cost of their lives, there is no way we can turn the bayonets against our own: Whatever the officials of the Ministry of Defense, the announcement of vendetta to them it is no longer just a crime, but meanness.
The same thing – even with the same expressions, only stronger, they say about what is happening in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Just anger. We all know how many failures are due to stupid and in some cases even criminal steps taken by military officials. All these “regroupings”, wastes and so on – we are ashamed and sick of all this. And for those who died because of their fault, the guys on the front lines should be held fully accountable by those responsible. But the only thing that is absolutely obvious: well, it is unacceptable to let someone destroy Russia!
This is our country. This is our Motherland. Our Russian world. And we have to fight for it. Please, “Wagner”, among whom there are many good, normal guys – think! The enemy is on the other side and under other flags, – Igor from Donetsk did not hold back his emotions.
What of this?
It is absolutely clear that Yevgeny Prigozhin, as a person who has long known the taste of big money and knows how to manipulate well, who does not take into account the lives of either his fighters or strangers (especially), was wrong.
He didn’t get what he wanted. There will be no civil war, no split in society. But blood may be spilled. And she, this blood, will be on his conscience.
