Pentagon said Wednesday that US forces killed 13 fighters from the militant group al-Shabaab. It occurred during an airstrike in Somalia.
The assault took spot on August 14 around Teedaan, in the central-southern component of the state, when the Shabaab fighters attacked the troops of the Somali nationwide military, the Pentagon’s Africa Command said in a statement.
“US forces are licensed to carry out attacks in protection of selected companion forces,” the assertion claimed.

He reported first assessments of the assault indicated that no civilians had been injured or killed.
