The Peninsula New York Hotel undergoes radical transformation with new aesthetic approach and technology

Public spaces, such as The Lobby, Reception and The Palm Court, will take a similar aesthetic approach, blending classic New York style with modern, worldly chic.

The elegant atrium at the heart of the property, The Palm Court, will feature dazzling new artworks, as well as an original selection of furniture, rugs and woodwork.

The roof terrace bar, Salon de Ning, will undergo a radical transformation into “Pen Top”: a flashy and cosmopolitan eagle’s nest whose refurbished interior, with a softly lit bar, will have the look of an artist’s loft.

The landscaping of the outdoor terrace includes a renewal of plants and furniture highlighting the bird’s eye view of the skyline, which has for decades made it a notorious landmark for sunset cocktails.

“This new design and technology, along with the service excellence we pride ourselves on, will strengthen our position among the best hotels in New York City,” said Samir Ibrahim, the general manager of The Peninsula New York hotel.

The Peninsula New York is an establishment of the Hong Kong chain The Peninsula. The oldest of the Peninsulas remains of course The Peninsula Hong Kong, created in 1928 by the Iraqi Jewish Kadoorie family who founded the hotel group after fleeing, first to China, then to Hong Kong, then under British rule. .

Last year, the opening of the sumptuous The Peninsula Istanbul, then that of The Peninsula London, brought the portfolio of hotels managed worldwide under this brand to twelve.
