The Pelita Declaration Party at the Joang ’45 Building, Din Syamsuddin Becomes the Chair of the MPP

Lamp Party officially declared at the Joang Building ’45 Jalan Menteng Raya, Menteng, Central Jakarta (Jakpus). The former general chairman of PP Muhammadiyah, Din Syamsuddin, is the chairman of the Party Advisory Council (MPP).

The position of General Chairperson of the Pelita Party is held by Beni Pramula who is assisted by Tantan Taufik Lubis as Secretary General. Meanwhile, Din will be assisted by Djindar Rohani as MPP Secretary.

When confirmed, Din could not comment at length regarding this declaration. Chairman Lamp PartyBeni Pramula, said that the presence of the Pelita Party could bring about civilized politics.

“Pelita wants to present a civilized political idea that makes political parties not just a tool to achieve power, but more than a politics of values ​​and examples,” said Beni in his remarks, Monday (28/2/2022).

In his statement, Beni also touched on the condition of Indonesian politics which currently tends to be pragmatic.

“The Pelita Party is sad to see the current state of politics, which tends to be more pragmatic than maintaining self-respect and integrity in politics in the midst of instantaneous conditions,” he said.

Beni hopes that the Pelita Party can become a political platform for young leaders who have integrity to maintain national values.

“The Pelita Party will become a forum for political education, preparing young leaders with noble character, honesty, capability, integrity, pure and sincere personality to care for national values ​​in society,” said Beni.

Beni also invites young people to fight together to be the guard in improving the condition of the nation.

“We have declared the Pelita Party in this very historic building in the Joang Building to indicate that we, young millennials, are ready to fight to be at the forefront of changes in this republic through the Pelita Party,” he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary General of the Pelita Party, Tantan Taufik Lubis, said that the election of the Pelita Party logo meant a light for political conditions. “The lamp as a light, God willing, with the tagline that we have, after dark, the lamp will come out,” he said.

Tantan said that community leaders from various backgrounds and backgrounds were also present as administrators of the Pelita Party. Starting from Muhammadiyah to youth groups.

“There are figures from Al Wasliyah, Muhammadiyah, from the Islamic Ummah Association, some from Mathla’ul Anwar, some from student and youth organization groups and of course all other components of the nation,” said Tantan.
