The pedestrianized streets of A Coruña will continue without cars until January | Radio Coruña

The local government of A coruña has decided to extend the pedestrianization of the streets Compostela, Primavera, Alcalde Marchesi, Monte das Moas and Emilia Pardo Bazán until January 31, 2021.

In this way, the City Council intends to guarantee that keep social distance and at the same time, help commerce and hospitality ahead of the Christmas campaign.

This decision is made so that the zone occupation forecasts can be made “in the longer term” and to make the investments that the locals made in the terraces at the beginning of the de-escalation profitable to occupy part of the parking spaces.

Similarly, as of next Tuesday, the access street to the San Amaro club will also be pedestrianized. The Department of Mobility points out that this action is about providing more space for pedestrians in the surroundings of San Amaro beach and in the Club del Mar. Parking spaces for people with reduced mobility will be maintained, and access for loading / unloading until 11.00, as well as the passage to emergency vehicles.
