According to the city of Gwangju on the 26th, 9 confirmed patients (No. 1021-1029 in Gwangju) were added as of 2 pm on the same day.
Of these, except for 2, 7 are confirmed cases related to Cheongsa Church (Usan-dong, Gwangsan-gu). The remaining two are one related to the Evergreen Silver House nursing home, and the other are checking information on confirmed cases. The number of confirmed patients related to the Cheongsa Church increased to 30 until this day since the first (Gwangju No. 959) came out on the 24th.

According to the quarantine authorities, most of the confirmed cases were members of this church, and it was confirmed that they attended the service on the 20th and 23rd. The total number of members of this church is 320. About 250 people attended the service on the 20th and 120 people attended the service on the 23rd.

In particular, after the 20th service, we had a meal at the church. At the time of worship, the pastor did not wear a mask, and the quarantine authorities explained that the church members wore it.

To date, 201 people have been tested, 161 are negative, and 19 are undergoing testing. As confirmed cases are also emerging from related facilities around the church, the quarantine authorities installed a temporary screening clinic at the Usan-dong Administrative Welfare Center on this day and inspected the church members.

In addition, by the 6th of next month, the church was closed and an administrative order was issued to prohibit gathering. The quarantine authorities plan to take administrative measures such as prosecution if any violation of the quarantine rules is detected.
