Almost all the great classics and cult films have a sequel, or remake. There must also be a follow-up Mel Gibson‘s The Passion of the Christ. Although it has been quiet for a while around the planned sequel, the lead actor says Jim Caviezel that the film is still in the works.
For example, says Caviezel, who played Jesus in The Passion of the Christ from 2004 and will take on this role again for the sequel: ”Mel just sent me the third version of the script and it’s great. Don’t worry, the movie is coming. It will be called The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection and it will be the greatest film in world history”.
Difficult
Caviezel does let it be known that in Hollywood there is more of a hostility towards biblical films: ”Nowadays almost only superhero movies are made. You get to see Superman, but not Jesus. However, he was the best superhero ever”.
