In addition to presenters Gijs Groenteman and Marcel van Roosmalen were guests Hila Noorzai and Thijs Römer. And the latter finds the TV spectacle The Passion not to stare at. “I think this is the ugliest thing that Dutch television has produced. I really think it is reli-porn,” says the actor, pointing to the religious nature of the annual event. “There’s nothing wrong with that in itself, but don’t bother me with it.”

Thijs was asked a number of times to participate, but declined the honour. “I let it be known that I liked the reli porn and it’s been very quiet from that side ever since.” Hila Noorzai, who wanted to watch for the first time this year, did not save the end of the Jesus story: “We turned it on and then I fell asleep.”

TV critic Marcel van Roosmalen is also not fond of it. “I honestly think it’s hideous TV. (…) I had a hard time watching this. I like this a lot.”
