The party with the group of friends became an expensive affair

– 10,000 kroner is a good deal of money, especially when most of us are students, says Inge Marelius Olsen.

It was a Saturday night in January he decided to invite to a party in the apartment in central Oslo. During the evening, unexpected guests appeared, and eventually more than 13 people were gathered.

– We were a little over the number, but thought it went well. Then it went a little out of control with a lot of noise and became neighbor complaints, says Olsen.

Thus, the police appeared at 02:00, and Inge was surprised by the sight he met.

– When I opened the door I was a little shocked, because the whole time was full of policemen. There were between 10 and 13 of them, says Olsen.

– It is important to make up for it

Thus, Inge was fined 10,000 kroner for violating the infection control rules, and all guests were fined 5,000 kroner.

Inge herself thinks it was important to make up for it after breaking the rules.

– I thought it was sour money to lose, but that I just had to take the fine and stand in it. I am aware that I broke the rules, he says.

– The law is the same for everyone

At the same time, Inge believes that politicians must also take responsibility and pay when they are caught for breaking the coronary restrictions.

– The law is the same for everyone, and it should apply regardless of whether you are a politician or head of state, Olsen believes.

The reactions have been many after Prime Minister Erna Solberg broke the infection control rules in connection with her 60th birthday celebration, and Inge has great understanding for that.

– We are all human beings and you can forget yourself, but when you are the head of state for a country and set the rules for a reason, I think that the prime minister must think a little extra about what she actually does in her spare time, Olsen thinks.

– She must lead by example for the rest of us, simply.

Collected 15 pieces

Solberg and his family traveled to Geilo during the winter holidays. Several in Solberg’s family rented apartments in the same complex, and on 25 February they gathered 13 people for dinner at a restaurant.

The restaurant in question confirms that the Prime Minister and her family were guests at the restaurant, but that Erna Solberg herself was not present for a couple of days due to acute eye problems.

However, she should have attended the dinner on Friday 25 February, but was back on Saturday 26 February.

At the time, the national rules dictated that no more than 10 people could be gathered in a private event at a restaurant. Later, the families also gathered 14 pieces in one of the apartments.

– We should not have had it like that, and I should have stopped it. I did not do that and can only say sorry, Solberg said on Thursday.
