The parliament’s budget of 336 million 798 thousand 600 TL was approved

During the controversial budget meeting, Töre accused the opposition of “getting caught up in issues as small as the head of a pin”, and the opposition accused Töre of “ruling the Parliament like a kingdom”.

The budget of the Assembly of the Republic, worth 336 million 798 thousand 600 TL, was approved by majority vote.

The Economy, Finance, Budget and Planning Committee started discussing the budget of the Assembly of the Republic after the Presidency’s budget, but voices were raised from time to time in the meeting.

It was decided that the Presidency of the Council of the Republic of the Assembly would investigate the finding that gasoline was put into the broken vehicles of the Assembly of the Republic, and that approximately 900 TL was spent on gasoline and washing for one of these vehicles last month, but this time, it was decided to present it to the Assembly with the contribution of TİKA and KIE. The bust to be made, the 3 tools and pronter to be purchased became the subject of discussion.

While the opposition deputies in the council stated that they were unaware of the demand letter on this issue, CTP Chairman Tufan Erhürman, who attended the meeting, said that the Presidency of the Republic Assembly was governed like a “kingdom”. The budget was approved, but the discussion between Erhürman and Zorlu Töre continued.

Before the discussions on this issue, the General Secretary of the Assembly answered the questions posed to him before the adjourned meeting.

Parliament Secretary General Seral Fırat announced that they have started work on changing the organizational structure of the Parliament. Fırat said that they made many changes to the text of the law, that the needs were regulated according to the conditions of the day, that the study of the law was completed, and that they would continue their work on the organizational staff after the budget.

Fırat, who also answered technical questions, stated that he did not see the expenditure documents in response to a question and that he received information late when he asked for it.

Fırat stated that he asked Hasan Büyükoğlu for information about the vehicles in writing 4 times and said, “I could not get any information, I also wrote a warning letter, but again I did not receive any information. There should be no perception that I am not fulfilling my duty as Secretary General. “I have official letters,” he said.

Erhurman

CTP Chairman Tufan Erhürman took the floor and said that the Secretary General of the Parliament was bypassed in violation of the legislation.

Erhürman said, “A state authority has no information about one of the vehicles. The officer in charge does not comply with the requirements of the legislation. In the Parliament that makes the laws, the legislation is deliberately not complied with. This is scandalous. It’s a disgrace. “There is an issue here regarding the honor of the Parliament,” he said.

Parliament Speaker Zorlu Töre stated that it was said that ‘Hasan Büyükoğlu should be responsible for the vehicles’ and that from now on Büyükoğlu will give weekly or monthly information to the Secretary General about the vehicles; “There is no scandal, there is no disgrace,” he said.

Töre accused the opposition of “getting caught up in issues as small as the head of a pin”, and the opposition accused Töre of running the Parliament like a kingdom.

Büyükoğlu

Hasan Büyükoğlu, Director of Administrative, Financial, Technical and Parliamentary Services, Organization of the General Secretariat of the Assembly of the Republic, said at the meeting that he had been waiting for a part for a vehicle of the Parliament for a long time, that the vehicle was under repair, that he informed the president about all the vehicles, and that he did not accept the criticism against him.

Canaltay

President of the Economy, Finance, Budget and Plan Committee, Resimye Eroğlu Canaltay, noted that approximately 900 TL was spent on one of the vehicles in September, including washing and gasoline, and stated that it would be more appropriate to give this research to the Council.

Debate on bust, vehicle and pronter…

On the other hand, the bust to be built for the Parliament with the contributions of TIKA and KIE, and the 3 vehicles and pronters to be purchased became the subject of discussion.

Parliament Speaker Töre’s statement, “I made a request for priority purchase of vehicles… The work of the Parliament is not working out” received a reaction from the members of the Council. Deputies said they had no information about this.

While CTP MP Sami Özuslu noted that the budget should not be voted on under this condition, CTP MP Sıla Usar, who spoke, said, “If there is such a weakness in accountability in the Parliament’s budget, let’s not move on to other institutions.”

Usar noted that decisions in the Parliament should be taken jointly and said, “There is a weakness in administrative and financial management in the Parliament. “This is not how things work,” he said.

Tufan Erhürman also criticized the Speaker of the Parliament, Töre, and said, “You need to resign because of what emerged here today. I don’t care how much money was spent on which car, how much gasoline was put in it… You declared this place a kingdom.”

Saying that relations with Turkey have deteriorated for this reason, Erhürman pointed to the pronter and stated that it is not even known what he wants from Turkey.

Erhürman said that democracy and law were trampled on in the Assembly of the Republic.

Then, while the Parliament budget was accepted by majority vote, Erhürman and Töre’s discussions continued for a while after the meeting.

Tomorrow’s meeting of the committee will start at 10.30. The Prime Ministry budget will be discussed at the meeting.
