– The inauguration ceremony of US President-elect Joe Biden will be held on the 20th (local time). The day before the inauguration ceremony, the elect leaves his home in Delaware and stays at the’Blair House’, a presidential guesthouse near the White House in Washington DC. When the opening remarks are held at the inauguration ceremony on the outdoor stage west of the Federal Capitol at around 11:30 am, the US national proposal and prayers are continued. The oath of office is expected to take place just before 12:00 noon. This is because, under the US Constitution, the start of the new president’s term of office is noon on January 20. At 12 o’clock after the oath of office is over, the elect is changed to president.

One of the big concerns of the inauguration preparation committee is that there are few attendees and the American people cannot attend. The vast park between the Capitol, Lincoln Memorial and the White House on the far opposite side is the National Mall, which was filled with crowds at the inauguration of the previous president. However, it is now closed due to COVID-19 and security concerns. The preparation committee filled this space with flags. The’Field of Flags’ was filled with about 191,500 flags. These are the flags of the United States, flags of the 50 states, and flags of other U.S. territories.
