The parish of the Immaculate Conception of La Carlota increases aid to the most vulnerable families

The Immaculate Conception Parish de La Carlota has signed a agreement with Mercadonain which the supermarket chain commits to to give daily to Cáritas those fresh food products, both perishable and non-perishable, so that they can be distributed among the most needy families.

In this way, Mercadona, in addition to collaborating with the Church, “we fulfill one of our commitments, that of giving back to society part of what we receive from it with the aim of not wasting food and benefiting the users of Cáritas”, has stated the director of External Relations of Mercadona de Córdoba, Noelia Conrad.

Until now, the headquarters of Cáritas Parroquial de La Carlota, located in Calle Ramón y Cataluña, opened its doors one day a week. Now it can be increased even up to three days a week to cover the needs of those families that need the help of the Catholic Church. This work can also be carried out on a weekly basis thanks to the ten volunteers that Cáritas has, contributing their time and dedication to this important work.

Cáritas Parroquial de La Carlota not only helps by providing food, but also throughout the year they select items of clothing donated by many other families for users who need it through the Cáritas wardrobe.

In addition, they launch different actions of food collection during the twelve months of the year, such as the last one they are carrying out, where the collaboration of the population is requested so that they deposit cartons of milk in the same parish.
