(AFP) – Conquering the West, Paris Saint-Germain has opened an official store in a luxury shopping center in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles (California), the club announced on Wednesday.
Presented by PSG as the “first permanent point of sale for a European club in North America”, this store will distribute the entire range of club products.
This opening must be followed by other stores “in strategic international markets”, continues the vice-champion of France, who “continues its project to become one of the most important and prominent brands in world sport”, the statement continued.
It is as part of this strategy that PSG signed an agreement in 2016 with the Jordan brand. After having designed the club’s 4th jerseys, such as pink and purple for the past season, this Nike subsidiary is offering the home jersey for next season, all blue, without band, with a red and white collar.
The club has partnered for a year with the firm Fanatics, world leader in licensed sports merchandising, for the distribution of its products. Since this agreement, the turnover of PSG products abroad “has doubled”, specifies the club.
The USA has become “our second market in all of our global markets,” adds the club. The club has also opened five PSG Academy in the United States, those in Houston (Texas) and Phoenix (Arizona) joining those already existing in Fort-Lauderdale, Miami (Florida) and Los Angeles.
