According to our information, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Organizing Committee (OCOG) is studying the possibility of changing the starting point for triathlon events. For now, it is planned at the Pont d’Iéna, near the Eiffel Tower. But the OCOG is working on a scenario where the opening ceremony would take place there and not at the Stade de France.

If the Pont d’Iéna is finally chosen for the opening ceremony, another place would have to be found for the triathlon and it is the Alexandre-III bridge, near the Grand Palais, which is today the preferred track studied by Paris 2024.
