Parents who left the detention center at Deokjin Police Station in Jeonju around 12:20 on that day went to the convoy without answering the question of reporters asking if they were assaulted.
According to the police, on the 9th, a report from parents was received at an officetel near Jungang-ro in Iksan City, saying, “The baby does not breathe after falling out of bed.”
The fire department dispatched to the infant’s breathing and pulse was not caught, and took first aid and transferred it to a nearby hospital, but the baby died.
After being reported, the police mobilized for investigation and found a bruise on the infant’s body.
The police saw that there was a situation of child abuse, and they applied for an arrest warrant after urgently arresting their parents, A (24) and B (22, female) on suspicion of child abuse and death.
They initially denied the allegations, but admitted to some of the crimes, saying, “The child often cried and vomited powdered milk.”
The Jeonbuk Police Agency said, “We will intensively investigate to what extent and for how long the assault has occurred through specialists such as neurosurgery and pediatricians.”
Earlier, Mr. A and others were investigated by the police last year for hitting the one-year-old sister of the dead baby.
