Luxembourg’s Differdange, Paraguayan squad Damian Mareco, Hugo Martinez and Richard Rejala scored in the main stage of the UEFA Champions League FIFA Futsal.
The compatriots were active architects of the victory of their team, which lost 3-0 at the end of the first phase and in the second half drew with two goals from Richard Rejala and a goal from Hugo Martínez, so much so that with the goal of Daniel Oliveira overturned the score by getting a 4-3 win over the host team.
Differdange became the first Luxembourg team to move from a group stage in this competition after going from 3-0 to 3-3 in the final against Tirana in 79 seconds.
The main round will run from 25-30 October and Differdange is part of Group 8 on Path B:
Group 8: Chrudim (CZE), Shkupi 1927 (MKD, host), Differdange (LUX), Preliminary Round Group H winners.
The winner of the Group will qualify for the Elite stage.
