The Pandemic of Professional Politicians: A Journalistic Testimony

I have decided not to write about politics again. Not worth it. But I am going to try to discern, as a journalistic testament, between various types of politicians, people who are dedicated to the res publica. For example: there is a politician who works for others, for the majority, for the people, for the people, as those who define themselves on the left have said for some time. These people form an absolute minority, both nationally and locally. It is strange that the politician, let’s call him altruistic, reaches the Presidency of any public institution. If, by chance, he manages it, he will be in power for a short time. At the next elections, he will lose everything, barely leaving a trace of his management.

There is another type of individual in the res publica, the majority, in political parties. These are people who work for themselves. Always pretend. He acts to convince the people, transformed into a herd, pure gregariousness, that he will give his life for the citizenship, that his blood and sweat will leave them for the good of his city, province, region and nation. They use ideology to mislead the staff. But they only believe in themselves. His political philosophy is part of marketing. Does not exist. Pure excuse.

The previous paragraph defines the professional politician, a person, man or woman, it does not matter, who, from a young age, militating in the youth of any party, works to reach the top of the formation. He is also characterized by his teaching in felony, being an emulator of Iago, Shakespeare’s character in Othello. He doesn’t believe in anything. Orphan of empathy, he uses all kinds of tools, weapons, and rhetoric to achieve his political objectives.

It happens that, when a person, male or female, bets on entering politics, always for a not too long time, to improve society, that the society, from which it comes, is fairer, more equitable, free and happy, ends being devoured by professional politicians, sharks in the sea of the res publica. In this way, those who lack ethics, capable of transforming lies into truth, egomaniacal and narcissistic, administer our taxes, direct our lives, dispose of our time and demand religious confidence in their management.

Spain suffers from a deadly disease: the pandemic of professional politicians. Any person who joins a political formation, out of generosity, self-sacrifice, with detachment, will disappear from the political scene, separated and condemned to ostracism until, disenchanted, he leaves the party, forgets about politics and dedicates himself to his profession and , if health allows it, enjoy life.
