On the last day of August — and 169 of the national quarantine — a total of 860 cases of coronavirus covid-19 were confirmed.

In the last 24 hours, the authorities registered 757 community-transmitted infections and 103 “imported” infections. raise the total number of infections to 46,728.

The information was released on Monday, August 31, by Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, through her Twitter account.

Stressed that 38,112 people have recovered from the virus.

He said that of the 103 “imported” cases, he indicated that 86 are from Colombia, 8 from Ecuador, 6 from Peru and 3 from Brazil.

Rodríguez said that to date there are 8,230 active cases in the country, of which 1,869 are in hospitals, 6,170 in CDI and 191 in private clinics.

The vice president also reported the death of 5 people, with which there are already 386 fatalities in the country. Of the deaths of this Monday she disclosed that they are three women of 68, 71 and 77 years old in Apure; an octogenarian from Táchira and a 67-year-old man from Zulia.
