He National Action Party (PAN), in the Chamber of Deputies, urged President López Obrador to summon the General Health Council and the National Vaccination Council so that these authorities are in charge of regulating, coordinating and executing an action plan and that the distribution of the vaccine is more efficient, inclusive and timely.
The parliamentary coordinator of the PAN, Juan Carlos Romero Hicks, He warned that the pain for the human lives lost is unquantifiable, in addition to the fact that the country already exceeds a million and a half infected people, balances that show that things are not going well and that the worst is yet to come.
He commented that in the PAN bench there is justified concern about perceiving a lot of simulation between the different instances of the federal government by refusing to allow an external evaluation and there is not enough certainty and clarity in the logistical programming of the crusade against the pandemic.
“In National Action we have already said it and we reiterate it: We need three vaccines: one against the incompetence of this Government, another against its arrogance and another against hatred. These three, incompetence, pride and hatred are permeating ”, he pointed out.
The PAN deputies, he added, propose to make transparent the contracts signed with private companies for the acquisition of vaccines against the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the criteria to define the vaccination strategy in the national territory.
It is necessary, he said, that all Mexicans know: number of doses contracted with each company; population expected to be immunized according to the acquired doses; amount of the agreed contracts, specifying amounts already paid and pending ones; doses received at the time, among others.
The PAN deputies propose a I urge the head of the Federal Executive Power to convene the General Health Council and the National Vaccination Council and those specialized authorities are in charge of regulating, coordinating and executing an action plan so that the distribution of the vaccine is more effective, inclusive and timely.
Romero Hicks assured that in this battle there are no political biases or selfish positions, all must be united by a common cause: the health of Mexicans, for this reason he considered it necessary to take into account the participation of the states and their local powers.
“The PAN deputies urge the Head of the Federal Executive Power to establish greater coordination with the states, so that they collaborate in the process of purchasing, distribution and application of the vaccination plan to guarantee universal and non-discriminatory access of vaccines against the SARS-CoV-2 virus ”, he stressed.
They also propose establish a weekly reporting mechanism on the advances in vaccination against the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the country, so that in this way the population and the autonomous bodies carry out an evaluation of the strategy.
“The country is facing the health crisis due to the pandemic and the closed schools, but we also have three more crises to face: economic, employment and family income; that of violence and insecurity and; that of the lack of trust, credibility and institutional governance, accompanied by corruption and impunity ”, he pointed out.
