COOKING PAN boost signal is no longer supported Anies Baswedan in the next election. Of note, in its records, PAN once supported Anies in the 2017 (Pilgub) gubernatorial election.
This was revealed by the president of the Pan Zulkifli Hassan at the book launch, ‘1,500 Inspirations: Exploring the Journey of Sandiaga Uno’, on Monday (11/21/2022). Zulhas said support for political parties with different directions is normal.
“Presidential elections are normal, aren’t they? They are normal and very ordinary. So the people supporting it, supporting it, it should be normal. That’s it. Don’t come later when it’s already like fighting here. Right? It’s normal, really? said Zulhas.
Then, Zulhas recounted his party’s experience during the 2019 election supporting Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno. At the time, he was in a different direction with President Jokowi and Vice President Ma’ruf Amin.
He didn’t care when Prabowo and Sandiaga joined the Jokowi government.
“Yesterday it was like this. I supported Mr. Sandi, Mr. Prabowo. Pak Prabowo became a minister. Isn’t that good? After Mr. Sandi became a minister, I went too. That’s it. That’s right. It’s easy,” he he said.
Zulhas also touched on the candidacy of Anies Baswedan. He said Anies was once Jokowi’s hit team in the 2014 presidential election.
Now, Anies wants to run for himself. Zulhas deems it natural that the PAN will later back other presidential candidates, even though they once backed Anies in the 2017 DKI Pilgub.
“Pak Anies was a speechwriter, Pak Jokowi’s Timses. Now he is a presidential candidate, yes. Yesterday he supported (Anies) governor, if we support other (presidential candidates), that’s normal,” Zulhas said.
