Black Salt Games has set a release date for the first expansion for the popular fishing game Dredge. The Pale Reach is coming on November 16, the developer revealed via the official PlayStation blog.
The expansion adds fishing expeditions to frigid environments, full of icebergs and snowy horizons waiting to be explored. Here, players can expect to encounter new types of fish and crabs, with more excitement for those who upgrade their fishing skate with icebreaker accessories.
As in the main game, however, it’s not just fish hiding in The Pale Reach. Darkness descends over the area, where an eerie atmosphere and Lovecraft-inspired themes once again creep forward.
The Pale Reach introduces several novelties to Dredge.

The Pale Reach is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch. Another expansion, called The Iron Rig, will also be launched again next year.
We liked Dredge very much here at the mill. Reviewer Espen Jansen had a great time with both fishing and the nasty atmosphere that permeates the experience.
– Dredge is an all-consuming, small game, which, thanks to its impeccable atmosphere and flow, really grabs the player. It’s not very advanced by any means, but has enough personality and idiosyncrasy baked in among the fish species and HP Lovecraft that this is well worth delving into.
