The property has the status of immovable cultural value of national importance
The Ministry of Culture will manage the Palace in Balchik. This was decided yesterday by the ministers at their regular meeting.
The head of the cultural department, Vezhdi Rashidov, was supported in his proposal by his colleague Rosen Plevneliev, writes in “Standart”. The property with an area of 183,488 square meters has the status of immovable cultural value of national importance.
One of the main attractions in it is the Botanical Garden. With its unique collection of cacti, it has been the bone of contention between the Ministry of Culture and Sofia University for several years now. The two institutions are fighting over who should manage the famous site.
