The most expensive Toyen painting sold at Czech auctions since April this year is the Cirkus painting, for which the new owner paid the final price of 79.56 million crowns.

It is in second place in the ranking of the most expensive paintings sold at auctions in the Czech Republic, after the painting Divertimento II by František Kupka, which was sold last year for 90.24 million crowns.

A total of 7.8 million crowns will be paid by the buyer for Jan Zrzavý’s painting Rio San Gregorio, Landscape from Brie I and II by Josef Šíma was sold for 4.44 million crowns and a painting called Torso I by František Muzyka found a buyer with a price of 8.52 million crowns, including a 20% surcharge.
