Jakarta (ANTARA) – Telegram announced a premium or paid service, which will be released in June 2022, according to CEO and founder of Telegram Pavel Durov,
Citing Phone Arena, Saturday, no price has been announced for this premium service, but rumors are circulating that this service may be priced at US$5 per month or equivalent to Rp. 73,000.
However, the price has not yet been confirmed.
For premium Telegram users, there will be several features that will be improved compared to the unpaid version, starting from being able to view large documents, stickers and other media features that only premium users can send, as well as reaction options.
There is also access to services to live crypto assets and live broadcast access.
Another difference with the presence of premium services, later users who become premium subscribers can get new features that may not be released to unpaid users.
Meanwhile, for unpaid users, according to Telegram, the service will remain as it is today and can still be used as usual.
Apart from that, Telegram remains steadfast in its stance not to display excessive advertisements on its service.
It is not known for certain whether this paid service will be released immediately globally or gradually in certain regions.
