Suspended due to covid, Nice airport has regained its direct link with the United States thanks to Delta Air Lines. It is reactivating its flights to New York JFK airport from March 27 at the rate of one flight per week to start and then five weekly during the summer season.
“This year, Delta celebrates 30 years of connection between Nice and New York-JFK and remains the oldest American carrier on the French Riviera. Delta will fly a redesigned Boeing 767-400 to Nice, which features four categories of seats – including eco-premium seats – Delta Premium Select – a first for flights connecting Nice.” the company said in a statement.
Mainly used by Americans to come on vacation to the Côte d’Azur, the return of this link will also be a boost for tourism on the Riviera. Traffic linked to North America from Nice airport represented more than 150,000 annual passengers in 2019 before the pandemic.
