Football and German rap
In the past there have been some overlaps between professional football and German rap. The artists’ songs have already been heard several times by international sports stars. Last May, Shindy’s producer OZ was at the Real Madrid party. The team celebrated reaching the final of the Champions League, which they ultimately won.
Kylian Mbappé and Neymar have even sent video messages to rappers, especially Capital Bra. Benzema is also a fan of German rap music. This was mostly arranged by the athletes’ German team colleagues.
A few months ago, two German rappers also met Neymar. Within a few minutes, both Loredana and Katja Krasavice posted photos and videos with Neymar Jr. Football star Leon Goretzka has also recently proven that he can definitely be described as a German rap fan. At least he hung out with Cro, publicly posted music by Raf Camora and most recently had contact with German rap legend Kool Savas.
Even the DFB’s World Cup song last year came from a German rapper. Pajel delivered “So wie wir”, the anthem chosen by the DFB for the unfortunately unsuccessful tournament in Qatar. Star players Thomas Müller and Serge Gnarby were featured in the song’s music video.

Now there is a photo of Bonez MC with a soccer star. He is no longer active as a professional, but is known as a German football legend. This is how Bonez MC met Mario Basler!
The 54-year-old was best known as a football star in the 90s and early 00s. At that time he played for FC Bayern Munich. He is now causing a stir as a football expert by not shying away from controversial statements and plain language. His authentic style is well received – apparently also by Bonez MC.
