SPLIT, iNews.id – Elkan Baggot made his debut together U-19 Indonesian national team. He is believed to appear in a trial match against North Macedonia at the NK Junak Sinj Stadium, Sunday (11/10/2020) evening WIB.
The Ipswich Town defender had no problems during the match. He is satisfied that his debut ended in a 4-1 victory.
“I am very happy to be able to play and make my debut with the U-19 national team. Thank you PSSI and all those who allowed me to compete wearing the Indonesian national team jersey for the first time, “he said Elkan Baggott in the PSSI release.
“Overall the team has played well. We must always focus and work hard to fix the shortcomings during TC in Croatia,” he said.
Thanks to his awesome appearance, Elkan was praised by Shin Tae-yong. The U-19 national team coach is pleased that his new players can work with old faces such as Bagas Kaffa, Rizky Ridho, and Pratama Arhan.
“Elkan is playing well as a center back. In addition, in working with other players he has been tuned. He has a tall, strong posture, and the ability to read the game is good,” said the coach.
Elkan has the opportunity to appear again in the second trial match against North Macedonia. The duel will be held Thursday (14/10/2020).
