Ahmad Dhani reveal the origins of giving the name Dewa 19 for his band.

Through a podcast together Rhoma IramaAhmad Dhani reveals that his life is full of coincidences.

“In my life I have experienced many coincidences. Coincidentally, I went to the same school as Andra, Erwin,” he said, quoted from the YouTube Rhoma Irama Official account, Tuesday (19/9/2023)

He admitted that the three of them turned out to be accomplished composers.

Entering high school, Dhani admitted that he met Ari Lasso.

According to him, he never planned his life so that everything flowed as it was.

“I never planned my life. I would marry twice, get married and divorce. It was all coincidence,” he said.

In fact, the frontman of Dewa 19 admitted that he never had dreams of becoming a famous musician.

“My dream is to be a keyboard player, in a jazz band, playing in cafes, earning enough eight million a month,” he explained.

Even so, Ahmad Dhani admitted that the song ‘Kangen’ happened to be famous.

“Ko happens to be the famous song Kangen,” he said.

Rhoma Irama also believes that Ahmad Dhani’s Superstar position is also a result of coincidence.

“It just so happened that he became a Superstar,” said Rhoma Irama.

The Dangdut legend immediately said that the name of Ahmad Dhani’s band should be Accidental Band.

“Why not call it Accidental Band?” he said.

Ahmad Dhani immediately agreed to this question.

“Yes, coincidentally the name of the band Dewa 19,” he concluded.
