The original Dragon Quest XI disappears from PS4 and PC and only the recently launched definitive edition can be purchased

Since last Friday, Nintendo Switch has lost the exclusivity it had with Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of a lost past -Definitive Edition- as it was put on sale for PS4, Xbox One y PC, which has led Square Enix to seize the opportunity and make the decision to remove Dragon Quest XI from both PlayStation Store and Steam.

This means that it will no longer be possible to purchase the original version of this brilliant RPG neither on the Sony console nor on the Valve digital store, so users They can only opt for the new edition, with a higher price, which is 39,99 euros.

The situation has its pros and cons. On the one hand it is indisputable that the content of this new version is splendid by the immense amount of news it offers. However, it is a direct port of the game available on Nintendo Switch, so graphic quality is not that good like the one that the original Dragon Quest XI did have that can no longer be purchased.

The reason this situation does not affect Xbox One is because the game had not been released on the console before, so it will be the first time that anyone will be able to enjoy it on Microsoft’s machine, especially those who are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass as part of its catalog.
