The organs of the boy run over in Morón Sur helped another who was waiting for a transplant – Un medio en Morón

A boy who was waiting for a kidney transplant managed to be operated successfully thanks to the donation made by the family of Mateo Sosa, the youngest of 9 years who died a week ago as a result of the blow he received from a Volkswagen Bora in Morón Sur. Due to this fact, the driver remains detained.

On March 31, Mateo was crossing Avenida Eva Perón with his grandmother Marcia when the Bora hit him at full speed. Days later, he was diagnosed with brain death. The family agreed to disconnect him and donate his organs.

A few days later, it was learned that the boy’s uncle, Jorge, received a message on Facebook in which a stranger wrote: “You don’t know me, but I want to tell you that a little piece of Mateo is going to live in my nephew.” In this way, he learned that a 4-year-old boy received the kidney that belonged to his nephew.

«It is something inexplicable, there is no answer to give to María and Mateo’s parents regarding what happened, Jorge describes. And yet, she believes that perhaps Mateo was able to fulfill a higher mission: “This exciting moment comes and one wonders if Mateo left to save lives, and it is a consolation.”

On the other hand, the family of the deceased awaits the confirmation of the arrest of Nahuel Silva Correa, the driver who ran over the baby, who is in prison accused of manslaughter. The cover changed after the death of the minor, although the complaint asks to harden the sentence. The crime he committed is exempt from prison, but the decision of the Court of Guarantees of Morón is still awaited.

Gustavo Robles, head of JG Nº 3, from Morón, intervenes in the case. On Friday the Sosa family marched again, in the rain, towards the Courts in search of Justice. The judge had already released the defendant for “wrongful injury”. But he was arrested (escaped through the roofs) after the death of the child.
