Within the framework of Mexico City Grand Prixtwentieth date of the season Formula 1, The organizers of the event reported that they sent help for the victims of Guerrero.
The state of Guerrero was punished by the hurricane Otis last October 25. Thousands of people were left incommunicado and deprived of all services, water, electricity or even their own homes.
The country has moved to help these people by sending groceries, cash and companies, such as communication companies, providing services for free. It is in this spirit that the organizers of the Mexico City Grand Prix, together with other institutions they sent aid to Guerrero.

Mexico City, October 28, 2023 – In solidarity with those affected by the impact of Hurricane Otis on the coasts of Guerrero, CIE, FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX OF MEXICO CITY Presented by Heineken and Walmart Mexico and Central America join forces to jointly donate 50 tons of humanitarian aid, in order to meet basic needs.
An action that gives continuity to the message of solidarity that Alejandro Soberón Kuri, executive president and general director of CIE, expressed on October 26, during the inauguration of the CDMX Pavilion.
“This action will directly contribute to the care efforts of people affected by the hurricane. In these critical moments it is essential to unite and show solidarity with our Guerrero brothers. The commitment is to help the affected families move forward and emerge stronger from this tragedy,” highlighted Alejandro Soberón Kuri.
The donation, which will be made through the Walmart de México Foundation, will be delivered to the victims in the state of Guerrero, through the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) and the Red Cross, in order to benefit the people who have suffered material and human losses, with special attention to Acapulco.
Likewise, Gisela Noble, director of the Walmart de México Foundation, commented: “At the Walmart de México Foundation, we are focused on supporting the affected community in Acapulco. We have joined forces with the Mexico GP team to deliver the donation of 50 tons of food on Monday, October 30. Likewise, we have enabled collection centers in our Bodega Aurrerá, Sam’s Club, Walmart Express and Walmart Supercenter stores in Mexico City, State of Mexico, Querétaro and Puebla, which will be open until November 5 to receive donations and send them to the victims.”
The Mexican Grand Prix and Walmart México invite everyone to join the various social actions that are being promoted, to provide support to those who need it most in these difficult times. Together we can make a difference and show the strength of solidarity in our community.
