The ordinance on raising child allowances and the minimum pension has been signed. What does Budai say about the “13th pension”

The first signed ordinance refers to the increase of state allowances for children, as negotiated in the government program.

“The ordinance that left the Ministry of Labor to the approving ministries and when it receives the approval will be promoted in the Government meeting”, Budai declares.

The second ordinance refers to the increase of the minimum pension from 800 lei to 1,000 lei, and the value of the pension point will increase from 1,442 lei to 1,586 lei.

Asked what is happening in the coalition in connection with the 13th pension that would be granted to pensioners with incomes below 1,600 lei, the Minister of Labor wanted to specify that it is not about the 13th pension, but about an amount of money that will be granted only once, in January, so that those with lower pensions are protected from the wave of price increases.

“Once the decision for the final form in the coalition is made, we will certainly announce it publicly,” he said.

Asked if there are any disputes in the coalition on this issue, especially since the deficit would be quite large, and if there is a way for people not to receive, Budai replied that there are discussions for the final form of the decision, not whether the money will be given or not.
