The order of the layers of the sun, from the core to the outer layer

KOMPAS.com – The sun is a star, one of about 100 billion stars in the Milky Way galaxy.

The sun has a very important influence on the life of creatures on Earth.

The sun influences the weather, ocean currents, seasons, climate, and makes plant life possible through photosynthesis.

Without the heat and light from the Sun, life on Earth would not exist.

Reported from National Geographic, order of layers of the sunfrom the core to the outermost layer, are the Sun’s core, radiation zone, convective zone, photosphere, chromosphere, and corona.

1. The Sun’s Core

The sun’s core, which is a thousand times the size of Earth, is a huge “furnace”.

The temperature at the Sun’s core exceeds 15.7 million degrees Celsius.

The Sun’s core extends to about 25 percent of the Sun’s radius. This is the only place where nuclear fusion reactions can occur.

2. Radiation zone

The solar radiation zone begins at about 25 percent of the radius and extends to about 70 percent of the radius.

In this vast zone, the heat from the Sun’s core cools drastically.
