The President of the memory center is sorry for the acts of degradation and indicated that he wanted to file a complaint. Prime Minister Jean Castex reacted with “anger” to the news: “To sully this place of meditation is also to sully the memory of our martyrs”. He clarified that “everything is done so that the perpetrators of these infamous acts answer to justice”.
The Minister of the Interior also expressed his indignation qualifying the “negationist inscriptions” of “spitting on the memory of our martyrs”. The Limoges prosecutor’s office has already opened an investigation.
