Health experts revealed the number of days a week a person should exercise to see “almost immediate” results.
The British Daily Mail quoted Professor Ken Nosaka of Edith Cowan University in Western Australia as saying:
Adults need to exercise “at least three times” a week if they want to increase their muscle tone. Three to five days of intense activity will produce results in as little as four weeks. Personally, I think it’s best to exercise every day but little – even if it’s just 20 minutes. This will maintain the activity and health of the body. Muscles sometimes need a little rest, but if you work out half an hour every day at about the same time, your body will have 24 hours to rest. Just two days of exercise a week makes almost no difference to muscle strength.
For its part, the World Health Organization recommends exercising for at least 150 minutes a week.
