Due to the low demand for postal services, from April 27, 2023, the operating model and working hours of the Zaubes post office of Cēsu county will be changed, adapting it to the real needs of the residents. From the mentioned date, all postal services in Zaubes parish will be provided every working day from 11 am to 12 pm at the current location in Ancīši. Residents outside the place of delivery of postal services during working hours will be able to choose to receive postal services from the postman at their place of residence.
Taking into account the small demand for universal postal services at the Zaubes post office, which causes annual losses to Latvijas Pasta in the amount of more than 6100 euros, the operation model and working hours of the post office are changed, but residents will continue to have easy access to all necessary postal services.
As before, at the Zaubes postal service point, residents will have access to all postal services and other services provided by Latvijas Pasts: receiving and sending simple and registered domestic and cross-border mail correspondence – letters, postcards, small packages, parcels, domestic and receiving and sending cross-border postal parcels, purchasing stamps and envelopes, subscribing to press releases, making payments to the Postal Settlement System (PNS) account, paying money transfers, paying utility bills and other bills, and purchasing commercial goods.
Any resident of the regions already has ample opportunities to receive the necessary postal services from the postman directly at his place of residence. The postman provides the same services at the customer’s place of residence as those available at the place of postal service provision: delivery, acceptance and sending of letters, correspondence and parcels, purchase of stamps and envelopes, subscription to press releases, money transfers and pension receipt, payment of utility and other bills, contributions to PNS account, purchase of commercial goods, etc
Zaubes residents can also receive cash payments from the PNS account through the postman. It is possible to receive these and other postman services at your place of residence by contacting the Customer Center of Latvijas Pasta by phone: 27008001 or 67008001.
Upon receiving an invitation to pick up a registered parcel, residents have the opportunity to apply for a free pick-up of the parcel at the Zaubes postal service point by calling 67008001, 27008001 in advance and indicating the date on which the customer wants to receive the parcel. On the other hand, when visiting the Līgatne 1st post office in Pašta, Augšlīgatne, receiving parcels without prior application is possible from Mondays to Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The number and placement of postal service delivery points is determined by the decision of the Public Services Regulatory Commission Council on determining the obligations of the universal postal service, which stipulates that Latvijas Pasts has at least one postal service delivery point in each county’s territorial unit.
The residents of Zaubes have been informed about the possibilities of receiving postal services from April 27, 2023 with special notices in their mailboxes, starting from March 27.
