It is a story about a luxurious and intoxicating world, full of brilliance and fun, flirtation, intrigue and misunderstandings. At the ball organized by Count Orlovsk, the wealthy Gabriel von Eisenstein fascinates with a charming stranger, without even realizing that the mask hides his wife Rosalind. Viewers will be offered a recording of the premiere of “Bat” with subtitles in Latvian. The performance was created by conductor Jānis Liepiņš and director Edmunds Freibergs. From December 20 to January 3, the feeling of the holiday will be enchanted by the children’s favorite Peter Tchaikovsky’s ballet “The Nutcracker”, the visit of which is an annual Christmas tradition for many families. We will offer the viewers a new record created in December with Jūlija Braueris and Kārlis Cīrulis in the main roles. The composer of these fairy tales was composed by the composer at the end of the 19th century, inspired by Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann’s fairy tale “The Nutcracker and the King of Mice”. The production of the Latvian National Ballet takes place in Riga at the end of the 19th century. On Christmas Eve, little Mary receives a doll – Nuts. The toys come to life under the Christmas tree, and miraculous adventures begin – an army of mice invades the room, the Nutcracker turns into a prince, frees Mary and takes her to the fairy land. The choreographer of the production is Aivars Leimanis, at the conductor’s desk – Mārtiņš Ozoliņš.
