Dr. Mann Abdel Maqsoud, Secretary-General of Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, inaugurated the new section devoted to addiction treatment at Al Maamoura Mental Health Hospital, which includes 50 new beds, to reach a capacity of 133 addiction patients.
According to a statement, Thursday, the opening took place in the presence of Dr. Jacqueline Azar, Deputy Governor of Alexandria, Amr Othman, Assistant Minister of Solidarity and Director of the Addiction Treatment and Control Fund, and Dr. Mervat El-Sayed, Deputy Director of Health Affairs in Alexandria.
Dr. Muhammad Zuhdi made a presentation about the hospital and its services, and the ongoing expansion plan, and the Secretary-General presented memorial shields to the guests, then the Secretary-General accompanied the guests on a tour of the hospital departments, and inaugurated two new departments for psychiatric patients, one for men with a capacity of 80 free beds, and the other For women, with a capacity of 80 free beds), they also witnessed a five-a-side football match between those recovering from addiction as part of their support, while the recoveries were keen to take pictures with them.
