In the active lane of the street was one of the girls killed by Georgi Semerdzhiev in an accident on July 5 in Sofia. With this reason, which he argued with data from a video of the tragedy, the man’s lawyer – Miroslav Hristov, demanded that the former football player be released from custody.
The video was confirmed by the expert, added the man, whose client was not present at the case.
Lawyer Hristov demanded that Semerdzhiev be placed under house arrest. He also found observations on the sample, which showed that the convicted drug dealer was driving drugged with methamphetamine. The blood for her was drawn the day after the accident, because Semerdzhiev was in hiding.
There is no data claiming that the drugs found in Georgi Semerdzhiev’s jeep are his. That’s 0.65 grams of methamphetamine worth 16 BGN, but nothing links it to my client, Hristov said. The drug was found in the armrest of the jeep that the man driving without a license was using.
Semerdzhiev, in addition to driving under drugs and without a license, in addition to the accident and methamphetamine, is also accused of using a false license, presumably Swiss. He was taken from him a month before the tragedy. Then they caught him driving under the influence of drugs, but the man escaped before they arrested him. Before that, they took off his license plates, which is why he was driving with fake ones at the time of the accident.
The prosecutor’s office requested that Semerdzhiev remain in custody. He was there for 95 days and by law he can be held for 210 before the case begins. The investigations are over, an accusation should be presented to the court shortly, the prosecutor indicated.
The measure is currently in progress.
