The cases of coronavirus have not disappeared from Maramureș, even if they are not talked about so much anymore. What is good to know is that these confirmed cases are average and mild and no longer require hospitalization. Regarding vaccination, we only have two hospitals in the county where those who wish can still be vaccinated.
“The anti-COVID vaccination is still done at the vaccination centers at the Emergency County Hospital “Dr. Constantin Opriș” Baia Mare, on Progresului street, so at Policlinica 2, respectively at the Baia Mare Infectious Diseases Hospital. The number of cases reported by all healthcare providers in the Coronaforms IT system is monitored daily. The number of cases varies, we are somewhere around 35 in the last two months, so 35 new cases. The forms are medium and mild and do not require hospitalization.
We have authorized COVID beds at the Baia Mare County Emergency Hospital, 10 adults and 10 children, respectively one ICU bed, we have 18 beds and two ICUs at the Hospital for Infectious Diseases, and more recently we also have COVID beds at the Sighetu Marmații Municipal Hospital , 8 beds for adults and the same number for children. I think we can expect an increase in the incidence of coronavirus cases, because we started on October 2 the surveillance of respiratory infections, pneumonia, flu, including infection with the Sars-Cov-2 virus. And from October 9, weekly, all medical service providers, family doctors, public and private hospitals, laboratories that test PCR have the obligation to report respiratory diseases, pneumonia, flu, according to the methodology in force. We will see how this winter will be and how this virus will circulate”, said Ivette-Alessandra Ilea.
