The Englishman Jake Peacock offered a sensational debut when he defeated Kohei Shinjo under helgens ONE Championship-gala i Bangkok, Thailand.
Peacock was born without his right hand and forearm but showed that he still belongs to the world’s elite when he dominated the Japanese for three rounds. The bantamweight bout took place at the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium and Peacock was subsequently praised worldwide for his performance.

Peacock, 30, started martial arts at the age of seven and has shown time and time again that he can compete at the highest level in Muay Thai, despite missing large parts of his right arm.
The Englishman says many of his opponents think they can exploit his right side, but he is quickly proving them wrong.
“A lot of people come into the game and maybe think that’s my weaker side and will target that area, but it hasn’t worked for anyone who has. I can’t help but finish people, said Peacock in an interview with SkySports. I do damage with my right arm. I’ve knocked a couple of people.
– I’m good at managing distance and my reach well and I make it uncomfortable for people. If they (push forward) then I will try to give something back. I’ve always been strong and had good technique, but when I turned pro my whole mindset changed. My mentality was different, I just had this killer instinct inside me.
