Prostate cancer is considered one of the most common cancers among men. However, not all is lost if you are able to recognize the disease in time. But how to detect this disease?

According to oncologist Maxim Astrakhantsev, most often this disease affects men over 45 years of age.

“Men over 45 years of age are strongly advised to monitor their PSA (prostate specific antigen) test. This is a protein that is produced by the prostate gland. An increase in PSA levels in the blood may indicate problems with the prostate, including adenoma or cancer,” says the doctor.

But there are other signs that will help recognize the disease, LIFE reports. As the tumor grows, problems with frequent or, conversely, difficult urination may appear. Erectile dysfunction and lower back pain may also develop. If you notice any of the above problems, consult a doctor, Astrakhantsev strongly recommends.

It must be remembered that the increase in risks is influenced not only by age and heredity, but also by diet and lifestyle.
