He introduced him to Andrlova
For many years they were together in the Jiří Wolker Theater (today the Theater in Dlouhá). Richter is behind the fact that Ivan met his colleague Ivana Andrlová (61), they got married and have a daughter together. “He helped me a lot when I needed to go abroad under the regime at the time, and at the same time I had all my siblings outside, which bothered me. He always signed the necessary papers for me, “Vyskočil recalled. Former colleagues from the theater meet regularly even after years and are happy to see each other. “I always joke at an acting funeral that only the last one, Karel Richter, will go to the funeral of the last of us,” Ivan added with a laugh.

He survived 2 sons
Charles had two sons. One of them, Ivan Richter († 46), was also an actor. You can remember his distinctive face from the series The Doctor from Vejmink, The Adventures of Forensics, The Wild Earth and many television fairy tales. Unfortunately, none of the sons inherited their father’s longevity. Both died prematurely of cancer.
